second life real estate

Anshe Chung is an avatar, or onscreen graphic character, created by a Chinese-born language teacher living near Frankfurt, Germany has proclaimed herself the first second life millionaire. She turned a $10 investment into a million dollar corporation in 30 months. Her corporation now has virtual land and currency holdings worth about $250,000. To handle rampant growth, she just opened a 10-person studio and office in Wuhan, China. Indeed, everything in Second Life is virtual except for the economy.

What for many people starts as an escapism, soon becomes real work.

Wow, second live is insane. I first heard of it on mtv... Is second life bigger then wow?

What is your view on the coronavirus?

Siri Beerends: I really embrace the idea that viruses can teach us a lesson in modesty. It is necessary that our position as the dominant species on the planet is being challenged. I also agree that it is a mistake to think that we are becoming Gods. But unfortunately, this is actually what is happening now. Corona doesn’t teach us to be modest, it teaches us how we can -as quickly as possible- go back to business as usual: saving our capitalistic economy.
