blobman. I can not help the way I feel - by John Isaacs

This landscape is titled 'I can not help the way I feel' and was created by John Isaacs. The way in which the flesh grows, erupts and engulfs the body can be seen as a metaphor of the way in which we become incapacitated by the emotional landscape in which we live and over which we have little control.

The work is currently on display at the Wellcome Collection in London. See also the Voices from the ID by John Isaacs. Thanks Sjoerd.

What is your view on the coronavirus?

Koert van Mensvoort: The virus makes us aware of other lifeforms with other perspectives, desires and needs. It also teaches us that we are one humanity. These viral invaders don’t discriminate on the basis of nationality, race, income, social status, political or sexual preference. We are together and must work together to overcome. Stay safe.
