Co-Evolving with Technology

Like bees and the flowers, we are entangled in a co-evolutionary relationship with our technology. But as in any relationship, we should make sure both parties are actually benefiting from the affair.

Looking at this next natural comic, it seems like our relationship might need some work. Thanks Ad.

What might have begun as a purely experimental curiosity was followed by a concoction of machines that broke the norms. However, what may have followed as the ' Next norm' comes with its challenges and repurcussions. Man has fast become a product of his own produced goods. A balance in this spiral cycle might do technology and humans a great deal of good. Man needs to outlive technology to be able to create more technology :-)

What is your view on the coronavirus?

Siri Beerends: I really embrace the idea that viruses can teach us a lesson in modesty. It is necessary that our position as the dominant species on the planet is being challenged. I also agree that it is a mistake to think that we are becoming Gods. But unfortunately, this is actually what is happening now. Corona doesn’t teach us to be modest, it teaches us how we can -as quickly as possible- go back to business as usual: saving our capitalistic economy.
