Meet the Farmer Drone

The Farmer Drone is a hardworking drone that plows the field, grows crops and milks the cows, all on the same day. This octocopter has the ability to work continuously and to accurately cover hundreds of hectares in just one flight. Think about the costs it saves!

The use of drones in agriculture shows significant benefits for the farm industry. Researchers at MIT are currently exploring low-cost drones embedded with sensors that would allow farmers to boost their yield and reduce crop damage.

You can find the Farmer Drone and many other good drones, such as the Queen Bee and the Firefighter, in What’s Flying There?, our coloring book that opens up new perspectives for positive drones applications in the human habitat.

What is your view on the coronavirus?

Siri Beerends: I really embrace the idea that viruses can teach us a lesson in modesty. It is necessary that our position as the dominant species on the planet is being challenged. I also agree that it is a mistake to think that we are becoming Gods. But unfortunately, this is actually what is happening now. Corona doesn’t teach us to be modest, it teaches us how we can -as quickly as possible- go back to business as usual: saving our capitalistic economy.
