Van Mensvoort Writes a Letter to Humanity

On the occasion of the Earth Day, 22 April 2017, NNN director Koert van Mensvoort will share his Letter to Humanity. In the letter he urges humans not to be slaves or victims of their own technology, but instead to use technology to enhance humanity. His hope is to encourage a new perspective on the role of man on Earth. Translated in over twenty‐five languages, the Letter to Humanity is addressed to all 7 billion people on Earth. Stay tuned!

What is your view on the coronavirus?


Siri Beerends: I really embrace the idea that viruses can teach us a lesson in modesty. It is necessary that our position as the dominant species on the planet is being challenged. I also agree that it is a mistake to think that we are becoming Gods. But unfortunately, this is actually what is happening now. Corona doesn’t teach us to be modest, it teaches us how we can -as quickly as possible- go back to business as usual: saving our capitalistic economy.
