The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and public broadcaster NHK have released a video of the Earth rising over the lunar horizon. The video was taken on November 7 by the KAGUYA (SELENE) lunar explorer orbiting the moon at an altitude of 100 kilometers (62 miles).
The video's are spreading fast and already millions of people have watched the Earth rising on their computer screens. While we are ascending to the outskirts of our universe and descending into the depts of our genes, we come to realize that our world view is fundamentally shaped through interfaces.

The earth doesn't rise or set on the moon. The same side of the moon always faces the earth since it isn't rotating. The rise and set in this video occurs because the spacecraft is orbiting the moon.
