Funny the commentary voice talks of cars as autonome entities (robots?), while they are driven by people of course. The reason why traffic–jams appear seems obvious to me: not all human beings seem to be able to control a machine with constant speed. Nor are they capable of overseeing the situation, let alone adjusting to it adequately. Nice visualization though!
