Feeling down and in need to unload, but cannot find a way besides sending unanswered and desperate Tweets into the universe? There is now a new application that allows random strangers to cheer you up on Twitter.

If you are feeling happy today and want to pass on the good vibes to other people who might need it, you can do it via CheerUpper. It is a web app that uses Twitter's interface and an intelligence system able to detect sad Tweets for you to respond to. After you reply, CheerUpper team reviews your answer and sends you an e-mail when it's published. If you are having a bad time and need someone to put a smile on your face, you can use the hashtag #cheermeup, and you will be put on the list of sad tweets of CheerUpper's system. Isn't that a humane and altruistic way of using the social media?
