Japanese are well known for their food replicas made to attract customers in restaurants. Polymer pasta, plastic lettuce or resin sausage became a common element of the display. A miniature piglet staring at you from a soup is a whole other thing.

The intention: to show clients the origin of their meat piece, is crystal clear but it provokes all spectrum of reactions. Some people praise an honest attitude which reminds consumers that their meat was an actual living creature once. Others think that what this Japanese restaurant proposed is just disgusting and inappropriate. A fake meal that brought up some real issues.
