How much does a like cost? How about a retweet, or a single play of a song on Spotify? How much carbon does a YouTube video burn? Greenpeace's #ClickClean initiative, which has been going since 2010, calls on big tech companies like Facebook and Google to use renewable energy sources.


The 2017 report on which companies are making most positive impact is out now, and Greenpeace is targeting Netflix's energy usage with a new petition. On their site they give each company a grade according to a variety of factors, from advocacy to the proportion of their energy usage that comes from clean sources.
