Yaybahar is a musical instrument created by Istanbul-based musician Görkem ?en. Designed as purely acoustic, this incredible apparatus emits sounds like a synthesizer.

"Natural source coded materials which are membrane, coiled spring and string working together. Maybe we can say that this is a new bridge system between string and resonant body" explains director Olgu Demir in the video's description.

This is how, with no electricity or input devices involved, Yaybahar is able to produce an harmonious combination of acoustic elements, resulting in a space-like pitches and frequencies typically belonging to computerized modulations.

In this boomeranged metaphor, the virtual music patterns of the digital era are replaced by the older traditional way to produce audible vibrations.
