Klima Kontrolle (video) is a project by Roel Wouters and Luna Maurer. A fan is placed in front of a computer screen and accelerates until it blows away the entire desktop. KlimaKontrolle was performed for the first time at the International Browserday in Paradiso, Amsterdam 2002. In 2004, Eriko Matsumara from the RCA, created a similar project called Hu-Poi.

Both projects explore new ways of interacting with your computer. They subvert our preconceptions of the static electronic screen, and allows human physicality and atmospheric conditions to affect this normally closed digital space.

Should men be able to give birth to children?

Koert van Mensvoort: Is the artificial womb frankenstein-like symbol of (male) engineers trying to steal the magical womb from women? Or… is it a feminist project and needed to reach through equality between the sexes? I personally lean towards the latter. To me it feels like progress if a girl can tell a guy to carry the womb for a change.
